The problem

Pyramid Taxi is a real, working taxi company in a competitive local market — and online, it was invisible. Low Google review volume was hurting trust signals. The website wasn't optimized for the searches that actually bring riders ("Wilmington airport taxi," "24-hour cab service"). The Google Business Profile was thin, several pages carried outdated content, and the business had almost no local backlinks or directory citations. Searchers found competitors and lead aggregators instead.

What we did

  • Built a Google review generation strategy to grow positive reviews and local trust signals
  • Fully optimized the Google Business Profile — photos, regular posts, service details
  • Replaced outdated pages with unique, location-focused, SEO-friendly content
  • On-page SEO, optimized metadata, and locally targeted landing pages for key services
  • Local backlinks and business citations from North Carolina directories and local sites
  • Local authority development and PR campaigns

The results, month by month

Real numbers, including the dip — February was slower than baseline before the compounding kicked in. That's what real SEO looks like.

Questions about this case

How long did the local SEO results take?

Five months from baseline to the peak reported month. December 2025 was the 150-call baseline. January came in at 160 calls, February dropped to 120, March recovered to 190, and April 2026 reached 272 — 81.3% above baseline. The search side compounded on a similar curve: 12.2K clicks and 178K impressions across three months, starting from zero.

Why did calls drop in February before they went up?

February came in 20% below the December baseline. We publish that month because it happened, and because leaving it out would misrepresent the shape of the work. Local call volume moves for reasons outside the SEO — seasonality among them — and one month in either direction is not a trend. The compounding showed up in March and April.

What was actually changed for Pyramid Taxi?

Six things: a Google review generation strategy to rebuild local trust signals; a fully built-out Google Business Profile with photos, regular posts and service details; outdated pages replaced with unique location-focused content; on-page SEO and metadata plus locally targeted landing pages for key services; local backlinks and business citations from North Carolina directories; and local authority and PR work.

Do these results transfer to other businesses?

Not automatically, and we would not claim they do. These are the actual numbers for one taxi company in one market over one five-month window, taken from Google Search Console and the client's own call volume. The method transfers. The specific numbers belong to this business and this market.
